For many years we have been working with couples to design their weddings in our natural, eco-friendly environment. We don't offer set packages as we like to help couples bring to life their own vision for a friendly and relaxed event in our beautiful grounds. A wedding at Radford Mill is a truly unique experience. The setting is gorgeous, lush countryside views all around, unspoilt and peaceful. Each event is a distinctive and very personal happening

If you'd like to get in touch to talk about your big day, please contact Liz on 07765 955692 or at  [email protected]

The Venue

There are two main venue spaces, The Piggery and The River Meadow. Both venues have fire pits, composting toilets, field showers, and plenty of private camping space if you want to camp over the weekend, as well as marquees. You are welcome to arrive  from midday on Thursday and stay until midday Monday. Tables, chairs and hay bales are included.

The Piggery

The Piggery is a beautifully landscaped area, next to the Cam Brook, with an indoor space to supplement our marquees.  There is a circular raised garden with a living willow bower and an avenue of trees running down to the weir, both of which are suitable for a personalised ceremony. The stream-side avenue of trees feels like a natural cathedral and the circle garden with flowering perennials offers a more intimate space.

The River Meadow

The River Meadow is a long field running alongside the Cam Brook, with a wooden shelter for catering, access to water and electricity. It is very popular with people wanting a festival style event. We are happy for marquees to be erected and for guests to camp.

The Ceremony & Celebration

We are happy to host up to 400 people in our venues, which means you should be able  to celebrate with all your friends and family.

Radford Mill does not have a wedding licence, but with Midsomer Norton, Bath and Wells about 15-20 minutes' drive away and Bristol 45 minutes, it is conveniently located to registry offices. Within both The Piggery and The River Meadow, we can create beautiful ceremonial spaces and provide formal seating or straw bales.

The venues can be set up flexibly with covered areas and outdoor space so you can make the most of the sun if it's out and stay sheltered if it's not. There is ample space for staging and dance floors. We can offer a campfire for the later part of the evening. We have hosted bands, DJs, silent discos and more. We are more than happy to talk through logistics with you so that you can move from ceremony to celebration without a hitch.

The Flowers

Frank is our talented landscape gardener and horticulturist. He is responsible for the upkeep and development of the grounds and gardens and he also grows flowers for events on site.  He can  provide you with bouquets, buttonholes, natural confetti and table displays of both wild and cultivated flowers.  He would love to discuss your ideas for floral decorations.

Accommodation

In the spring and summer we host wedding guests as campers in our meadows and fields. Tents and vans are welcome. We can also provide rooms in our Farmhouse for those who want to stay onsite but do not want to camp. Alternatively you might decide to hire one of our Shepherds Huts.  There are a range of local bed and breakfast providers in Radford and Timsbury and the surrounding areas. Contact us for a list of nearby B&B's.

The Catering

We have often been asked to provide hog roasts, BBQs, tagines and paellas but we love a challenge and have also provided home-cooked venison casserole, biriyanis, Thai green curry, tartiflette, chicken provencal, mac n cheese and entirely vegan menus. Our meals are accompanied by a range of salads, for example leaves and flowers, apple, carrot and beetroot, coleslaw, tomato and cucumber in basil dressing, potatoes in lemon dressing, moroccan cous cous and we always provide a vegetarian alternative.

When available, we use ingredients grown on the farm, including herbs and salad.

We can offer three course meals, buffets, desserts, afternoons teas (using our antique tea sets), and picnics, as well as finger food and canapés, a pre-wedding farmhouse meal for the immediate family, cocoa and marshmallows round the fire late at night and breakfast for those who choose to stay overnight.

We have a converted caravan that makes the perfect bar, and we are happy to provide drinks and staff the bar. We love to serve local ciders and beers, but can make sure to have your favourite tipples stocked up.
