Radford Mill has successfully hosted hundreds of events for more than 45 years.
Currently we are home to an annual Folk/World Music Festival (Tangled Roots), a Blues Festival (Tangled up in Blues) and a Jazz Festival (Somerset Jazz).
We have also hosted hundreds of weddings and other celebrations, a wide range of workshops, a theatre production, yoga and tai chi classes, circuses and acrobatics shows, groups of caravans and family gatherings of tents and corporate activities.
We are keen to increase our current use of this beautiful and unusual venue for parties, retreats, workshops, courses, concerts, mini-festivals and casual camping. We have a selection of spaces available and we arrange spaces to best suit each kind of activity. We feature fire pits, compost toilets, wood-fired hot showers, camping, barbecues and very tasty home-cooked food. We provide marquees for protection against the weather when necessary.

The Piggery and Circle Garden
The Piggery is a characterful historic stone building suitable for dancing, yoga, small conferences and indoor workshops up to 50 people.
The adjacent grounds are extensive and consist of a circular raised garden with a living willow bower, a large lawn and an avenue of trees running down to the weir. In this space, we regularly host 100-400 people for birthday parties and weddings, formal dinners or music events.
Next door to The Piggery is a kitchen for serving tea, lunches, or full catering for any size of event.
Meadows and Fields
The River Meadow is very suited to festival style events or corporate away days. The field is about 400 metres long, nestled between the winding Cam Brook and the tree-lined route of the Somerset Coal Canal. It is equipped with compost toilets, mains water, electricity, fire pit and wooden shelter. There is space to put up a number of Marquees.
It is perfect for ceilidhs, parties and indoor-outdoor workshops. Camper vans and other vehicles are welcome to drive into this field (weather permitting) so access is very easy.
We have several other field spaces that are suitable for smaller events and camping. These include the Driveway Meadow, Goose Meadow and the Chestnut Grove.
Catering
We have often been asked to provide hog roasts, BBQs, tagines and paellas but we love a challenge and have also provided home cooked venison casserole, biriyanis,Thai green curry, tartiflette, chicken provencal, mac ‘n’ cheese and entirely vegan menus. We always provide vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
All our meals are accompanied by a range of salads, for example leaves and flowers, apple, carrot and beetroot, coleslaw, tomato and cucumber in basil dressing, potatoes in lemon dressing, moroccan cous cous and we always provide a vegetarian alternative.
When available, we use produce grown on the farm such as herbs and salads.
We can offer three course meals, buffets, desserts, afternoons teas (using our antique tea sets), and picnics, as well as finger food and canapés, cocoa and marshmallows round the fire late at night and breakfast for those who choose to stay overnight.
We are experienced in catering for all kinds of groups and events, from intimate dinners for ten to all day food provision for hundreds. Our portions are very generous and our terms are very competitive.
