From day one the turkeys are grown, dispatched, hand plucked and packed right here on our Farm, so virtually no food miles. As soon as they are old enough they are out in the field every day, pecking at the ground and the hedges, eating a wide variety of things that they find.
Each year our list of happy customers gets longer, and about 2/3 of our sales are to repeat customers. We get many comments such as ' That was the best turkey I have ever had'. The birds will all be ready a couple of days before Christmas; you can collect from our Farm or from our Shop in Bristol, or we can deliver your turkey by overnight courier, to arrive just before the holiday.
The smaller turkeys are now sold out, so our minimum size is about 4.5 to 5 kg.

Our sheep are a traditional and rare breed called Wiltshire Horns, popular in the 18th century as they are a hardy breed and have excellent meat. They are a “shedding breed” that moult. In the spring you will see them rubbing against trees and fences to pull off their winter coats. They look very scruffy until their new short coats grow, but the birds on the Farm have the benefit of wool-lined nests! Not having a long coat in summer means they are also much less likely to attract bugs, pests and diseases compared to long haired types.
Our current rams are Cadwallader (whose father was a champion) and our new prize-winning Kaiser Chief who will introduce more meaty genes to the flock. Our lambs are usually born in April and there are often twins and occasionally a set of triplets. Rams born in the same year are required to have names starting with the same letter of the alphabet. We try to name after trees so the 2022 ram lambs were called Birch, Beech, Banyan and Baobab and the 2023 ram lambs were called Cedar, Chestnut and Cypress.

The Farm is home to a happy flock of free range, organic chickens who provide us with eggs all year round.
The chickens are part of our field rotation, with their enclosure moving around the Farm seasonally. This way of rearing chickens mean they have access to wild forage and as omnivores, can scratch around in the grass and soil for plants and bugs to eat. It also means that the soil benefits from a season of being fertilised and enriched by chicken manure, ready for planting the following year.
You can buy our eggs at the link below with your veg box delivery, from our stall at the Timsbury Farmers' Markets, or from our Farm Shop in Bristol.
